Good Morning. The Marinette Middle School Discipline Committee met for the first time this morning at 7:20a.m. Thanks to everyone who attended and for the great ideas that were shared. If you were not able to be at this mornings meeting, but would still like to be a part of this committee, send me an e-mail expressing your interest.
This afternoon I will be hosting a meeting of area Associate/Assistant Principals and Deans of Students. I hope this is the first of what will be monthly meetings of this group. Our objective is discuss issue related specifically to the AP/Dean role including student discipline, attendance, building safety, etc.
Sixth Grade staff check your e-mail for an update on the Out of School Suspension situation with a 6th grade boy on the Stars Team. He and his parents were a no show for the re-entry meeting yesterday.
The Honor Level Reward Dance that was originally scheduled for this Friday, September 28th is being rescheduled to Friday, October 5 from 2-3 in the Gym. We will run the Honor Level Schedule on Friday, October 5th. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause with planning. I have heard from many staff members this week that they didn't know about it. Please be sure to regularly check the Middle School Calendar (click on the link on the district web page, MMS webpage or the Middle Link or AP UpDater) as this was scheduled on that calendar before the first day of school.
I anticipate there being 30-40 students who will not be eligible to attend this reward by the 5th. I would like to split those students 5 teachers. Please decided as a team and grade level who will supervise those students and let me know via e-mail by next Wednesday.
