TODAY IN HISTORY

Walter Johnson
Walter Johnson, 1913.

"He's got a gun concealed about his person. You can't tell me he throws them balls with his arm."
Ring Lardner on Walter Johnson

On December 10, 1946, baseball great Walter Johnson died at the age of fifty-nine. Nicknamed "The Big Train," Johnson pitched his way to fame during twenty-one seasons with the Washington Senators. His fastball is considered to be among the best in baseball history.

WORDS FROM THE AP
Good Monday Morning. Adam is attending a technology conference in Minneapolis today and tomorrow. During his absence, I will be assisted by Mr. Mans and Mrs. Schewe. Pat will be in the office on Monday and Bev on Tuesday. They will use Adam's office and can be reached at X1505 or call Beth or Michelle at X1500 to have them radioed...YEAH! I get two days without a radio!

ANCHOR TEAM
This week's ANCHOR TEAM meeting will be postponed to Wednesday at 7:35a.m. in the Conference Room. Please e-mail Ms. Beland in the guidance office by the end of today with any students you would like to have put on the ANCHOR agenda Wednesday. This change is being made because I will be out of the building on Tuesday morning attending the Admin. meeting in Adam's place. Thanks for your flexibility.

ISS, THE UPDATER, & MORE
There's a new face in the ISS room. Beginning today, Ms. Linda Larson will begin the challenging, but many times rewarding job of ISS supervisor. Linda and I will be working on implementing changes in ISS over the next several weeks. This will include everything from changing the look of the ISS room to sending out weekly HLS reports to staff as well as keeping my blog, the AP UPDATER updated in real time. Please welcome Linda and wish her well.

Make it a great day!!!
