The film Casablanca premiered in New York City on November 26, 1942, as Allied Expeditionary Forces (AEF) secured their hold on North Africa during World War II. Morocco's chief port city, Casablanca was the setting of both the film and, later, of a major conference of the allied leadership. (source: US Library of Congress)
WORDS FROM THE AP
Good Monday Morning. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving break. Before you know it, Christmas break will be upon us. The next four weeks are going to fly by. I don't want to make any assumptions, but these four weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas can bring out a lot of negative behaviors in students. Let's work together to be proactive in trying to prevent major issues from arising. Thanks and have a great Monday!!!
BLOG POLL
Last Monday's AP UPDATER post included a "poll" asking you to indicate by voting if you read the AP UPDATER that day or not. Unfortunately, only 5 people responded...and I know that one was me and another was Mr. DeWitt. That tells me not many people are reading the UPDATER. Much of the information that is posted regularly is important. This can include meetings about student/discipline issues, rewards etc. It is the format that the majority of my communication with the Marinette Middle School staff will be done. SO...I would like run another poll through 3:00 this afternoon. Please answer the poll question to the left. This is an anonymous poll and I will use the information to continue to improve my communication with you.
ISS, INFRACTIONS and MORE
Unfortunately, and for obvious reasons there will be some changes coming to ISS. At this time, I don't know exactly what changes those will be or when they will take place. In the meantime I ask that you be patient. I also may need to enlist your help in supervising individual ISS students in your room if temporary coverage in ISS is not available. Also...if you have been emailing infractions to ISS, you may continue to do that, but email them to me, slimberg@marinette.k12.wi.us with INFRACTION as the subject. Please send the e-mail by PRIORITY as I have recently been receiving so many e-mails each day that I can't guarantee that it will be read before the end of the day unless it is marked in red.
ALSO - THIS WEEK I WILL BE COVERING LUNCH DETENTION SUPERVISION UNTIL 11:30. IF THERE IS An ISSUE THAT NEEDS MY ATTENTION DURING THAT TIME, PLEASE CALL THE OFFICE AT X1500 AND HAVE BETH OR MICHELLE RADIO ME. YOU CAN ALSO TRY MY CELL PHONE @ 923-5651.
